Fellowship Activities
Our club engages in many activities designed to provide fellowship and camaraderie among our members. Our primary fellowship activity is our weekly luncheon meeting, where we eat, conduct Kiwanis business, hear speakers and have fun, including the Sergeant at Arms, who just might put you on the spot and make fun of you! We have many other activities and programs for our members to get together, socialize and have fun, including the following:
Christmas in July
Providing an evening of fun for area children to attend a Burlington Bees ballgame and believe in the magic. Santa has been known to arrive on a Harley or even in a convertible.
Family Picnic and Bees Ballgame
Enjoying friendships in a casual atmosphere among club members and their families.
Feather Party
Also known as "turkey day", members test their luck and maybe a few skills at BINGO! Those who are lucky enough to win are rewarded with a turkey to take home and enjoy.
Kiwanis Singers
The Kiwanis Singers are a group of our members who have vocal talent and who perform from time to time for our members and on occasion for other audiences.
Kiwanis Night Out
Our club recognizes and rewards the hard work of our members each year by hosting a dinner and special entertainment for our members and spouses.
Kid's Day
During the holiday break for area students, members are encouraged to bring their children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and neighbors to enjoy a lunch just for them. The festivities include a special menu and fun entertainment.
